The baby gift shopping rush is forever a challenge! If you'll be shopping for gifts for a baby, I have some products for you, so you don't have to hunt around for an item that a baby will enjoy. These products are either classic toys that make great gifts any year or the toys that are expected to be popular with little ones this year.

Baby blankets are one of the things that you need to have for your baby. You use them to cover your baby, to swaddle, you lay them on the floor to protect your baby - they do so many things. Here are some of my favorite baby blankets. They are perfect as a baby shower gift.

When we think of babies, most of us imagine a beautiful crib and baby layette. Nowadays there are so many options for baby bedding and more designs than we can shake a stick at. The problem is that we need to keep safety in mind when we're choosing a bed for our newborn.

Baby monitors are a fairly new invention. The idea behind a baby monitor is that you can have the ability to move around the house or your yard and still be able to keep tabs on your baby by listening or now viewing your baby. This can help alert you to a crying baby, a baby who needs your help or just help you watch baby while he or she sleeps.

Baby Clothes, Basic Layette, Feeding and Bedding Needs

What does a baby really need in the first weeks at home? The answer is - not much. This baby needs checklist will help you choose the basic baby items, often called a layette, that a baby needs to have in the first precious weeks of life.

Baby Needs: Clothing and Layette

Baby Needs: Diapers and Bath Items

Baby Needs: Bedding and Feeding

That's it! While there are many baby products on the market that make a parent's life easier, most are wants, not needs. While it may be tempting to buy every gadget on the shelf, remember, your baby will be just as happy with the basic items that he or she really needs.

Tips for Buying Baby Clothes

   1. Babies can go through clothes Quickly, a fact you should remember when figuring out how much you are goimg to spend.  Inexpensive baby clothes are at many retailers. You may also try one of the baby clothes resell shops that in the last few years have started. Used baby clothing  in good condition can be very high quality  at baby clothes resell shops. The shops usually have great toys and furniture also.
   2. Think about the size of your baby when shopping. Babies come in different sizes. Make sure you buy baby clothes that fit your child now and in a few months. Buy baby clothes that are a little roomy and that have give. There needs to be room for diapers, and baby, who of course, will get bigger.
   3. There are three basic types of baby clothes: sleep clothes, clothes for home, and clothes for outings. Sleep clothes include gowns, undershirts, onesies,  and sleepers. The kind of sleepwear you choose depends on  time of year, weather and region of the country. Thicker clothing that offers more coverage is going to be right for cold nights. You will need more sleep clothes for your baby than other kinds. tSleeping is what babies do most.
   4. Daytime baby clothing consist of shirts and small pants with elastic waists. These clothes are for the baby to wear when in a chair or carrier in house and yard. Daytime is when babies wear rompers,  one-piece outfits that will help keep them warm while they are crawling aroumd or rolling on the floor.
   5. Warmer clothes for babies are for when you take them out in the stroller and carrier.  Warmer clothes include a pair of overalls or a one-piece that opens with snaps or Velcro fastener. You also want to buy a small hat to keep the baby’s head warm and to protect baby’s skin from the sun. You want cute clothes for taking the baby out, as well as functional clothes that allow you to undress and dress the child quickly for diaper changes.

Baby gifts and buying baby clothes is a wonderful affirmation of new beginings.
